We may have found something to man up our Little Man, Ethan. He's 8 years old now, but still suffering a bit from the "Sissy" Syndrome. So when Michelle and I found out that the YMCA was sponsoring the first lacrosse camp for kids, we signed him up.
Lacrosse was about as popular and prevalent in Idaho as Toe Wrestling. Out here in the East, its like football.
If you aren't familiar with the sport, think of it as soccer, but the ball is a lot smaller, and instead of kicking it around, you carry it and throw it from a net on the end of a 4 foot stick. That is about all I know, too.
Ethan had been playing a bit with neighbor kids, so he had some of the basics down. During his first practice, I was surprised how well he was able to perform.
We'll have pictures to come, but y'all be prepared for the 2022 Olympics. He's determined to be a part of them. Of course, making sure he sticks with it will be my own personal Olympic sport. I've included everything I can think of to make sure he stays in it, even down to things like, "You know, girls LOVE lacrosse players." So far, so good.
